Solutions for the most common problems

Specifically for Idola

 • First use or when the machine has not been used for a long period.

Remove and rinse the water tank. Fill the water tank up to the MAX level, using only fresh, still drinking water. Replace the tank.

Plug the power cord into a power outlet and press the On/Off button to switch on the coffee machine.

The coffee machine will start the heating cycle. The On/Stand-by button will begin to flash white. The coffee machine is ready once the button stops flashing and the dispensing buttons are lit up continuously.

 • On/off button flashing red.

Unplug the coffee machine from the power outlet. Leave the coffee machine at room temperature for a sufficient length of time (1 hour at most). Plug the coffee machine into the power outlet again and press the on switch (try this once only).

IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, CONSULT LAVAZZA CUSTOMER SERVICE.

 • The loading lever does not reach the dispense position, or excessive force is needed to push it down.

Empty the drawer and try to push down the lever. Then, move the lever up and down to cause the coffee capsule to drop. IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, CONSULT LAVAZZA CUSTOMER SERVICE.

 • The coffee machine does not make any sound.

Send the coffee machine into stand-by, then hold down the Espresso Coffee and Caffè Lungo dispensing buttons together, for at least 5 seconds. IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, CONSULT LAVAZZA CUSTOMER SERVICE.

 • The coffee machine is leaking water.

Check for the presence of leaks in the tank, keeping it apart from the coffee machine. Empty the coffee capsule storage drawer. Move the lever up and down to cause the coffee capsule to drop. Remove the coffee capsule storage drawer and empty it. Use suitable coffee capsules (Lavazza A MODO MIO or compatible capsules). IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, CONSULT LAVAZZA CUSTOMER SERVICE.
