    Lavazza and Eraclea at the “Salon du Chocolat”

    A journey through the finest coffee, chocolate and tea

     

     

    February 2017 - After the success of the first edition, Lavazza and Eraclea, symbols of Made in Italy quality for coffee and hot chocolate, are back at the Salon du Chocolat in Milan (9th-12th February – MiCo Milano Congressi) with an even larger exhibition area and rich product offering.

    Sharing the exhibition’s focus on high quality, Lavazza was the main sponsor of the event, and had already positioned itself at the top of excellence scale for events dedicated to chocolate. The Salone was a unique opportunity to gather together maitres chocolatiers and crème de la crème of the industry in an occasion packed with events, shows and culture. The first ever show was held in Paris in 1994, by Sylvie Douce and Francois Jeantet, to enable the public to discover chocolate in all its forms. It now travels to 30 cities in four continents and attracts more than 9,000 exhibitors and roughly 6.5 million visitors, making it the world's most important event dedicated to the “Food of the Gods”. It was also held in Milan from 2016.

     

     

    Dining areas serve only bar and restaurant products, including the fine Lavazza ¡Tierra! Origins blends from farms certified by the Rainforest Alliance. This collection of blends, made from origins which are carefully selected and artfully blended by Lavazza to offer the perfect synthesis of taste from the territory of origin. One of these will be featured in the event organised by Lavazza on Sunday 12th February at 12pm: pastry chef Loretta Fanella will give a live demonstration of how to make “chocolate spiral with raspberry jelly, creamy coffee and cinnamon biscuit and salt”. The Sensory Bar will host a tasting of the special edition of Lavazza Kafa, one of the most prized coffees in the world, combined with rum, aromatised wines and Gran Cru chocolate. The new products in the retail sector will be displayed in the Press Lounge with Jolie, the new super silent and super compact Lavazza A Modo Mio system, and Prontissimo!, the company's first premium, instant coffee.

     

     

    Eraclea, the iconic Italian hot chocolate brand, will be present at the Salon du Chocolat with a stand showcasing ranges designed specifically for high-end coffee shops, from the classic products to the new dark chocolate and soya milk bars. In the Eraclea space, you can discover and buy a wide range of Antica Cioccolateria products, the result of over 40 years of passion for the highest quality chocolate presented in a range of exclusive flavours made from carefully selected ingredients: the best cocoa powders, including dark chocolate, milk and white chocolate, with irresistible combinations. Whittington Tea will offer tasting of two selections of cocoa-themed tea: black tea flavoured with chocolate and Cocoa Twist tea, an innovative blend of cocoa, fennel and liquorice in the exquisite pyramid bag. The event will also be an opportunity for Eraclea to unveil the new, extensive restyling of its graphics and materials for the new year.

     

     

    Lavazza’s presence at the Salon du Chocolat makes a strong statement on the value of Food Service for Lavazza and Eraclea in strategic terms: the contribution of this sector is a key factor in the growth of the business.
