Moscow, 25th May 2017 – With the inauguration in Moscow of the first Eataly in Russia, on 25th May, visitors can now taste authentic Italian quality coffee at the new Lavazza bar.
After the opening in Copenhagen last November, the collaboration between Lavazza and Eataly continues with another important event in Europe. On 25th May, Eataly Moscow will open its doors in the Kievsky shopping centre, opposite the railway station of the same name: a space dedicated to excellence that extends over 7,500 square meters and which will welcome 2,800 people daily.

In addition to their common Piedmont roots, Lavazza and Eataly also share the same passion for quality, authenticity and the pursuit of excellence - typical characteristics and fundamental values of Italian culture, deeply embedded in food and its sources.
Since 2010, Lavazza bars have been opened in Eataly outlets in New York, Chicago, Boston, Milan Smeraldo, Copenhagen and São Paulo (Brazil). After Moscow, the next inaugurations are scheduled in Los Angeles and in FICO Eataly World in Bologna.

Gloria Bagdadli, Lavazza's Global Head of Retail Marketing, commented: “Offering an authentic Italian coffee experience is Lavazza’s DNA. We are proud to open our bar in the new Eataly Moscow, bringing a touch of Italy to Russia. This is the most recent step in our long and solid partnership with Eataly, a company that shares our strong values.” In addition, Russia represents a highly strategic market for Lavazza, not only owing to the Russians’ love of coffee, but also due to the growing interest in specialty products.

The Lavazza coffee shop in Eataly Moscow is located in the heart of the new store and is surrounded by glass windows that allow spectacular displays of light. Pendant lighting and designer furnishings adorn the lounge area, where reflections of light blend with sparkling surfaces in shades of gold, bronze and chrome-plated sterling silver. The same precious metals, combining glass and brass, are echoed in the bar area.
The elegance of Italian style is also found on the walls, decorated with a stone mosaic with soft brown nuances that gives the environment a refined and welcoming feel. The design of the chairs is in line with the comfort and precision of the “slow” service that Lavazza intends to offer its guests, surrounded by the warm tones and nuances of coffee plants. The space also exhibits the great shots of photographer Steve McCurry, dedicated to the ¡Tierra! Origins project and depicting communities of growers in Brazil and Tanzania, where Lavazza selects its best coffee origins.

The Lavazza coffee shop is designed to offer an excellent authentic Italian ‘coffee experience’, serving ¡Tierra! Selection, the new blend of premium Lavazza coffee with an intense taste, produced with sustainable quality coffee from Rainforest Alliance certified plantations and combining product excellence and environmental and social sustainability. You can also purchase a selection of premium Lavazza products, including ¡Tierra!, from the Eataly shop.
