    Séverine Doyen

    Official Driver

On the surface, the smiling Séverine Doyen is an Official Driver for Roland-Garros.

From the qualifiers to the finals, she accompanies the world’s tennis stars to their destination. Besides them, there are also partners, managers, coaches and leading representatives of the Federation.

But, in front of a Lavazza double espresso, she reveals that her work often leads her to take on other roles: a secret confidant, a friend and... a DJ.

Coffee in hand, Séverine tells us of a time when she was accompanying a famous tennis player (like a true professional, she keeps his name confidential), his fiancée and his trainer.

The atmosphere during Roland-Garros can be quite tense:  “Adrenaline is high, you can feel it.” To lighten the mood of her passengers, she turned on the radio, choosing a cheerful, positive song.

“Suddenly, we found ourselves singing together. We didn’t want to stop.”

To prolong their journey together and finish their singing performance, the quartet twice travelled the road that hugs Place de la Porte Maillot.

“I love my work,” concludes Séverine with a smile.
